To some people, looking for a man or a woman is like walking through a car showroom. There are plenty of car models, each sitting in their own category, i.e. sports, mid-sized sedan, hatchback, luxury sedan, MPV, SUV.

 

Men are Gray, Women are White

 

According to studies, men are interested in cars because of their brain’s ability to process gray matter, i.e. information processing, intense and focus subject matters to them. Whereas, women’s natural ability is processing white matter, i.e. networking and linking topics together that are totally different.

 

As such, ‘gray’ men simply just like cars for what they are while ‘white’ women link cars to men and men to cars.

 

Men love women who appreciate cars and at least have some form of understanding. All successful men appreciate cars, but not all men who appreciate cars are successful.

1. A family-man will drive a multi-purpose vehicle to bundle his kids, wife, parents and whatever massive luggage that comes with them.
2. A tai-tai who likes ferrying her kids around while taking on her friends likes sipping high-tea in the day.

 

#2 SUV – Sports Utility Vehicle

 

e.g. Hyundai Tucson, Honda CR-V, Nissan Murano, Mazda CX-7, Porsche Cayenne, Renault Koleos

 

1. Sporty men or women who need their mountain bikes and equipment strapped on, or….
2. People who desire visibility and respect. The same reason why some women will prefer a bigger frame man over another.

 

#3 Supercar

e.g. Audi R8, Aston Martin DB9, Ferrari 599 GTB, Nissan GT-R

 

1. Successful people who like the status that comes with it. ‘Been there done that’ kind of person.
2. Off springs of a rich businessman.
3. Heavily leveraged wannabes. Trying to pull a fast one.

 

#4 Sports car

 

e.g. Peugeot 207CC, Mazda RX-8, Roadsters and Sports Coupe

 

1. People who like the chase, i.e. the pursuit of something, go getter. Generally, risk takers.
2. Heavily leveraged wannabes. Once again trying to pull a fast one.

 

#5 the Common Mid-sized Sedan

 

e.g. Toyota Altis, Mitsubishi Lancer

 

1. The average person, who is practical, plays it safe and blends into the surroundings. Stable and secure kind of person.

 

#6 the Uncommon Mid-sized Sedan

 

e.g. Opel Astra, Peugeot 307

 

1. Practical but thinks very differently from the majority.

 

#7 the Luxury Sedan

 

e.g. Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Ford Mondeo, BMW 3,5 series, Audi, Lexus IS250, Mercedes C200

 

1. Someone who seeks success but at the same time wants stability, security without looking average.

 

 

Your Car is You 

Everyone loves a fast and big car, but not everyone can handle a fast or big car in challenging environments. As such, the driver behaves in the same manner as his character or behaviour at work. For example, almost everyone aspires to have a high flying job but such a job (car) is difficult to handle.

 

 

Your Spouse is like Your Car too

Similar to choosing a spouse, every woman wants the handsome chap who is well to do just like a muscular sports car. A good example is, Italian sport cars are like pretty women or handsome and rich men, driving them is fast, furious, exciting and of course temperamental and high maintenance too. However, some people just prefer a simple partner or a predictable car that offers stability, security minus the fun because their heart can’t take the heart pounding exhilaration.
